I've written them for Ciao (similar to dooyoo) and have made a little from it. Unfortunately you have to invest a lot of time in it as it's as much about reading and rating other people's reviews as writing them yourself. Other people only read your reviews if you read theirs and it does take time. Also, members won't read and rate "churners" (people who post more than 2 a day). which is understandble. There are also a lot of politics within the community which is tiresome to say the least. I only ever wrote about 8 or 9 reviews but managed to get payouts from the Premium Fund as well as the pennies you clock up. I think my best pay out from the premium fund was about £12 one month. Basically, if you enjoying writing reviews (which I did but no longer have the time for) it's fine. But if you think surveys don't pay enough for the time involved then you'll find review writing even less rewarding... A lot of people who write on Ciao also write for Dooyoo. I believe that people do slightly better financially out of it but don't have any first hand experience to back that up. Hope that helps.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -
I used to write for dooyoo, but found other members very harsh. They seem want really in depth analysis, which in films, IMHO can give away too much. You earn 3p per rating no matter whether it's very useful or off topic, with "crowns" awarded to some, earning you £1.50 I think it is. It took a long time to reach pay out. You must earn £55 in order to claim £50, or £100 to pay no handling charge. Points expire too, so be careful
EDIT: just logged in and found I wrote 67 reviews, picking up quite a few crowns before I reached pay out for £50Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

So true! What used to make me laugh on Ciao was the reviews of food products. Oh how upset some of the community got if the reviewer didn't list every ingredient and describe the colours of the packaging..Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -
Has anyone on here ever cashed a cheque with dooyoo? I cashed one in nearly 3 weeks ago ,I got clarification that my request was being actioned immediately but since then i've not seen a cheque.
Also I contacted them twice since Saturday, through the email regarding redeeming your miles and through the "Contact Us" section on the website and still haven't heard a peep from them.
I enjoy reading and reviewing stuff anyway but was just wondering what the deal is if any can help?0 -
I am on Dooyoo as well. I have never requested payment through a cheque as i prefer to get the Amazon vouchers. They can be a bit slow though, I have seen it take ages for them to send the vouchers. I would hope that you get your cheque soon. Good luck!LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

I used to use Dooyoo a fair while ago (I stopped purely because I don't have the time to write reviews these days - especially since it takes so long to reach payout) - they were always good with payment for me. If you cashed out for vouchers you'd get them very quickly. Cheques took a bit longer, but they always arrived.
They always responded to emails too - so if you're concerned, it may be worth contacting someone.DFW Nerd No. 140

Found this site after it was mentioned in one of the threads on here.
Have done a few reviews and made some money but I am looking for tips on how to maxmise my money and get others to rate my threads. Also is wirting reviews and the reviews being rate by other members the only way to raise more doyoomiles?
I have searched any couldnt find a thread on the forum, if there is one could you point me to it ansd any other tips would be grateful.
many thanks0 -
Have you registered on Ciao or Epinions? They are similar sites and free to register. I'm on all three and I post my reviews on all three sites, so i get paid 3 times for one review. The only real way is to keep reading and rating the reviews written by others. That will get your name known and then the others will come and rate your reviews. You can add people to your circle of trust as well and sign up to receive notifications when they write new reviews. Reading and rating others is also a good way to see what kind of reviews get the higher ratings.
Good luck and if you need any further help feel free to PM me.LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Try googling "review writers forum" and you should come up with a forum that covers both dooyoo and ciao. You might find some useful advice although you might also find some very jaded reviewers too...Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0
