Hi everyone,
I am looking to go further away this year camping with my family including my 3 daughters aged 3, 13 and 15. Can anyone recommend any sites. I have never been down south before.
We shall be going for a week in the school summer holidays. We like sites that have a swimming pool and entertainment onsite.
I shall look forward to your help.
TIA

Devon - Ruda at Croyde Bay - walk out of the front gate, thru the lane onto the blue-flag beach - good surfing & the site has an indoor pool with large flume & clubhouse etc
Cornwall - St Ives Holiday Park at Hayle - walk over sanddunes at end of camping field onto large beach - site has indoor pool & clubhouses
both are excellent sites - the surf is better at Ruda but if you go out daytripping you gotta travel thru Barnstaple to get anywhere - the surf last summer at Hayle wasn't so good but its a better position for sightseeing as its just off the main road thru cornwall & you can get from north coast to south coast in under 30 mins0 -
These sites look ace!
but i am looking for something a little less expensive?
i have seen some for £20 a night peak time, but still we cannot afford an expensive hol.
We usualy go Shell Island near Barmouth - that is £7 per person per night and has everything - or is it just more expensive down south?
are there any small sites/not heard of or publisied too much that are quite cheap. All you need is a field/toilets/wash room. ??
Thanks!Thank youLiz x0 -
I use the ukcampsite.co.uk or campinguk.com websites for details and reviews from users.
I've not stayed down that far as yet and never on a site with a pool but hopefully the sites and forums will help you.
