    Oh help!
Today I've received a Smart in an envelope addressed to my 'two pre-determined initials' - so I knew the envelope was one from 'them'. Fine. I've recorded on-line the details of it, but the accompanying page which was in alongside the Smart says this at the top:-
'Receiving Panellist: After checking and recording the information below, please put this insert back inside the test item envelope, before returning it to Research International'.
Do you know what I'm meant to send it back to them in? Is it the grey plastic envelope? Surely not one of the smaller thick brown ones that clearly state 'Smart Returns Only'?
    Thanks.

    Hi CGG

You're right - you need to return all the items you receive in the big grey plastic envelope. I usually put them in as they arrive and post them back each Saturday. Don't forget to put a label on the back of the big envelope. It's on the same sheet as the labels for letters to be sent and says it's to be put on all items you are returning. Hope this makes sense.

my stuff arrived this morning. One letter to post to Mr Hussey on Wednesday next week and the other to Mr Hussey on Thursday. Off to get post box codes now and register them. Also got a printout of the training material from the website which is helpful too - no need to keep accessing it via the PC...;)

You could do all of that next week after you've posted - saves 2 journeys ;)

I applied, then got the email saying they had enough people in my area - which I thought 'fair enough', but then today I got 18 stamps, and two stamped envelopes (Mr Hussey too LOL) - I take it these won't need posting as they didn't require my services???

    Confused???

Arrrghhhhhhhhhhh, can someone help me please...im confuzzled lol

Right, i have just received an envelope containing my very 1st SMARTS and envelopes, etc. My posting schedule says add SMARTS to envelopes, which i understand.

In each envelope was already a piece of paper saying affix R Number label. I presume those are the ones like i was doing when i first joined up. Now, do these bits of paper with the R labels, go back into the envelopes to be sent along with the SMARTS???

Also, ive got a large plastic envelope to send stuff back, what goes in these?
  • had my stamps yesterday, 2 smarts and one going to a hospice as a test item.

Yes, the smarts go in the test envelopes along with the R number label. The large plastic envelope is for when you start to receive mail, you record it on the website, keep the smart in your stock and then put the test envelope and R Number label in the large plastic envelope and then at the end of the week, usually a Friday, post it back to them. You have to put a sticker on the back of the plastic envelope too, which has your barcode on, and can be found on the information labels sheet.

I just got another pack through with another 18 stamps, got some last week too. :j

Can anyone tell me what the yellow labels are for, I cant access the training and cant see anything in the pack that tells me. It may of been in earlier stuff and I missed it.

Edit to add, I have got 3 smarts to send but have not received any to send.

mookie, i'd been wondering this too but found this info in an earlier post where someone had emailed to ask what they were, hope it helps you:

The yellow stickers are for you to use on items you receive from other panelists (magazines and letters) which do not have an "R" number on an insert inside for you use when recording the receipt of the item online. When you receive one of these items you will not enter an "R" number but tick the box below which says "Click this box if no R-number found". The system will then show you a list of letters or magazine titles you are due to receive along with their issue dates.

You will need to either click one of these options if the title and issue dates exactly match the issue date displayed on the magazine or letter, or select "Other” or “Issue Not Shown / Unknown" if they do not. The system will then issue you with a 4 digit code which you will need to write on one of the yellow labels we supply. Please then stick this label to the outside of the magazine or letter before returning it to us in one of our pre paid return envelopes.

i haven't had occasion to use them yet, the only items i've been receiving are the small white envelopes with a sheet of paper inside, exactly like the ones i've been sending, no magazines or anything yet  tho i'm looking out for them eagerly...
