                                  in Credit cards

My girlfriend, who is usually ultra-organised with her cash, has overspent this month. So she needs a credit card which she can draw a few hundred pounds cash from at a low as possible (pref 0%) rate...
Are there any offers around at the moment? ..
She currently doesn't have any credit cards.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

It takes some time to get a credit card, if she needs cash now it may not be the best way. However if you want to know how to get cash off a credit card at 0% read the "Stoozing" article (click the link in the blue box above).0

As Reaper says, it is unlikely that she would get a credit card up and running soon enough to fix out this month's cashflow. Does her current account have an overdraft facility ? If not, it might be worth contacting her bank and enquiring about having one set up - but make sure she asks whether there are any charges. If this overpsending means that things will be tight over coming months then she could look at a Virgin credit card which offers 9 months at 0% and can be used to move money into a bank account. However, she needs to spend less now to make up for the overspending. A 0% credit card may be "too easy" a solution and she may not feel the need to cut back her spending and find that she can not pay back the card in 9 months time.

            Hi.
I think we will look into the overdraft and see if that is an option, she has only overspent this month because she had some unexpected work at the dentist and we have paid for our holiday. Otherwise it has never happened, in the 12 years I've been with her.
Might hang on the card then. Thanks for the replies.0

Sounds as if she is pretty sensible and unlikely to mis-handle a credit card. I think I'd be inclined to look into an overdraft (or short term loan from a family member ?) to tide her over this month .... but maybe have a credit card as a standby to provide short-term cash flow in the future.
