Received my order today, placed the order online yday at 4:30pm! did add the hifi code n it did say to me it was not available n if i wanted to back order, chose yes, but they seem to have chucked in a free bag, code:

This is a reply to a query to Viking about their £35 chair. (advertised as £30 in emails)

"If you receive promotional emails through our business link prices will be advertised exclusive of VAT. If you then view the product on the home web site the price will be displayed including VAT".

There ya go. £30+VAT..

Does anyone know how long viking usually take to debit a card for payment? I gave my card details when I ordered 2 weeks ago on Bank Holiday Saturday and I got my chair, paper and free cd player delivered on the Tuesday after the Bank Holiday but they haven't taken my money yet !!

Ain't you lucky! I dare not check my bank a/c to see if my payment's been taken, because I don't want to know about certain other things on there :eek:

My chair arrived at about 2.30pm today and I finished assembling it at 1.00am :T There was a slight problem with my arthriticky fingers and hot flushes, I'm going to get a fella to check it over for me (whenever a fella happens by), but in the meantime it's not collapsing under me, BUT...

I can't get the gas lever to work. As long as I've screwed the bottom fitment securely to the underside of the seat, there's nothing else I could have done or not done, is there?

DIY boffs, please advise.

18 days after it was supposed to be delivered I am still waiting.

I ordered some office supplies from Euroffice on the same day at 5:30pm (30 Aug) and I got an email the next day apologising that it wouldn't be arriving that day (31 Aug) and offering me 15% off my next order (it arrived the day after, 01 Sept). As I ordered from Euroffice at 5:30pm I wasn't expecting it to turn up the next day anyway, so don't know why they were apologising! As for Viking, like I said still waiting and have heard nothing from them...

Hi Competitions,

i was just wondering - Have you tried contacting them? It is a freephone number and every time that there has been a delay on their side they have bent over backwards to ensure my contentment with them.

Give them a ring and ask what has happened to your order. They are a large company and the odd occassional slip-up will occur.

It cheap leather for a cheap price saying that even the more expensive ones look the same.It is only advertised as leather faced.
