Possibly stupid question about balance transfers

If I hold a credit card in my name, can my hubby apply for a card and transfer my balance into his name?

    Usually, yes.

Check out Virgin for balance transfers, their offer is good and their service (in my experience) is excellent.

I applied online, and at the end of the process it asked me to phone them. So I did, was asked a couple of questions, was accepted then and there, and told what my credit limit was. Ten days later I had my card. That is, by quite a long way, the best service I've had when getting a new CC.
