E15/11/04: Free £25 from Citibank

Yup, not having learnt from First Direct's mistake Citibank have gone and done the same thing.
They will give you £25 just for opening a bank account. No need to pay your salary in, no need to pay a minimum amount.
There is only 1 requirement, which is that your income is £15,000+
You won't get this offer if you go through the front page of their web site, instead use this link.
If you want to stick with the account after you have got your cash it actually sounds quite good. They pay 4.59% AER on all balances, no matter how much or how little.

has anyone applied for this? I have and at the end of my application it says transmitting...which Im assuming after that it will display a page which you have to print off and the send on. Whilst transmitting it then decided to cut out, I did this twice....so thought that it meant they would not receive my application...when checking my emails I have two lots of information about thankyou for your application....but I have no form to send on....what can I do???Always happens to me......0

If you got a confirmation email I'd have thought that means you are registered.
Although I posted the offer I did not apply because I assume they will do a credit search, and I've had rather a lot of those recently.0 -
Just a thought, but you can do a little better than this if you apply for this account via Rpoints.
You get £30.50 from Rpoints if your application is successful, so if you are a member of Rpoints then its best to take their route (I don't think you can combine the £25 and £30.50 offers, but will be more than happy to be proved wrong ).
If you haven't already joined then there's an additional £5 up for grabs if you join Rpoints via this link http://www.rpoints.com/go0 -

My account was opened 2 weeks ago & used rpoints. Still waiting for 3000 rpoints = £30.
They have another offer of £30 amazon.com vouchers for each referral account opened by 31 Dec 20040 -
I really do want to use this account as well
You don't know what you are letting yourself in for, you really don't........0 -
I've just managed to get my £25 for opening my Citibank account. This account had been open for about 6 weeks and I hadn't been given this bonus. So I logged on to the account and send customer services a message asking when I would get it. It took about 4 days for them to credit my account with this bonus.
I haven't had to arrange for my salary to paid into the account or anything else - just had to send them a reminder.0
