£1000 if you are lucky. These bonds have surrender penalties. Why not ask them?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The FTSE 100 has gone up to 5230 ie + 480 or 10%. I don't know the terms of the Egg FTSE Bond but hope that helps.0

Hi, Tayus,
The current value using the closing level of the FTSE 100 on Friday would be around £1090 if this were a tracker. However, most providers of GEBs calculate the final value by taking an average of the index they're tracking for the last six months of the term; that would give you a final after tax value of roughly £1030.

All academic, of course, as you know :-)
