New Tesco promotions

Although I give lots of my coupons away....I always make sure I have enough to satisfy the demands of friends late requests on the last day....but its awful after a week of hard couponing, when you wake up on the last day, and find you have a lot more than you thought.

When i counted last night, I had about 400 out of 600 bread(only bought 2 loaves in a week).....22 Persil and 26 Robinsons.....Plenty i thought as all my locals had cut down to 1 per day....or so i was told.....

Anyway....got ready this morning, finding odd coupons in various places, and ended up with 34 Persil and 42 Robinsons.....far too many i thought for the last day.....

OH had changed her attitude, and suggested WE get rid if them...so we told some friends we would get them some......

Time to go to Tescos....OH conveniently found other more important things to do....so WE became ME.

Set out to first store....I don't beat about the bush now...I just walk up to duty managers or till supervisrs and ask the limit....ONE Persil I was told, and ONE juice per day.....although she would let me have more juice....So got my ONE Persil and 6 juice......went 10 miles to next store....2 of each she said....so went in twice....next store had no Persil but got 6 juice.....This was useless so decided to give up the ghost and go home....afterall, they wernt for me....

My car has a mind of its own at times(its used to a circular Tesco Tour), and it turned the wrong way and I ended up on my way to my big local Extra, where I am banned from,been stopped by security for "shoplifting" FREE Quit packs, and they even installed a new four way camera in the HB aisle,where the BC has her desk, and have stopped me twice at the door and asked for their coupons back.......

Anyway..decided to brave it.....to my surprise there was an abundance of Persil...albeit no 25% extra packs and the "Colour" was only 2.85kg(although still 30 wash)...the cup in this one must be 5 grams smaller than the 3kg pack).....or its 5% stronger...............my mind is never idle.

Spotted a couple of pink shirted under managers stocking the shelves, so asked if there was a bulk buy policy on the Persil....

"How many do you want" he says..

"well" I said "I've got 26 Coupons that give me 75% off"..

"26 is too many...unless i go and ask the store manager" he says....." but you can have 6"

..."6 of each i said"...

he thought about it and said "yes".....(Ive had dealings with the Store manager in the past.......so didnt want his involvement)

So I fills my trolly with 6 bio, 6 non, and 6 colour.....Gets to the checkout, and SA says..."Ive got to phone security if you come through with Persil again"....

"Ok" i said..."but that manager says i can have them"....after a wait...i get the ok....although SA tells me my photo was taken last week....Quickly withdrew my £10 clothing coupon, and paid cash with NO clubcard.......left store..........but forgot my Robinsons........

Loaded car and went back in......decided not to push luck with more Persil and just go for Robinsons.....so I stood in Persil Aisle, giving out Coupons until the shelves were empty....

Spotted same manager and apologised to him for asking this....but "did the same policy apply to Robinsons juice as i had 26 coupons left".....

He said he would seek advice from someone(but not store manager)...he came back saying i could have as many as i wanted, as long as there wasnt more than 6 of any flavour......

Picked up my 26 bottles of juice and purposely went to same SA, who served me last time, as she was chatty(old moaner...but chatty)....where she told me again about security and photo...but said "You dont seem bothered"...I said "Im not, as I'm not doing anything wrong...."

Helpful duty manager came up and ok'd it(again)...but while he was there 3 of the couples I'd given my spares too went past and thanked me for the Persil coupons i had given them....must admit I "blushed" a bit....

Left store and loaded car....a good ending to a good set of coupons......and came home with NO 75% off coupons...very satisfying.

I await the "Tesco letter" if they do know me......but was careful not to use Clubcard

Why are they taking your photograph? Its not as if you are doing anything sinister. You are not shoplifting for gods sake, just merely taking advantage of an incentive to buy (at 75% off). I'm sure that would irritate me though (taking a picture) isn't it an infringement of your human rights?

This was only from an SA, so taken with a pinch of salt....although i do have a "history" in this store.....I didnt want to draw more attention to myself by enquiring....Although i feel a request from the DPA for all info on me to be sent.

good for you leadhead - why should you feel bad when youve done nothing wrong!! Youre only using coupons and why some of them act as though its coming out of their own pockets is beyond me!!

I only stomach Tescos when theres free or extremely cheap goods to be had.....do my proper shopping elsewhere......coupon depending of course.
