Just an update on this, had our final quote for a conservatory (now 5mtr x 4.5mtr) and for a Pilkington Activ Blue glass roof, it will only be £1700 more than 25mm polycarb. Thought this was very reasonable myself.

At that price I would certainly go for the glass roof. I have a couple more companies coming round so hopefully will get the price down a bit.
