Ordered and reserved mine at Oxford this morning. OH spent 20 minutes in traffic jam, then another 20 mins in store waiting to pick it up, only to be told they couldn't find it! Grrr!!!!!

Just picked mine up and lovely thanks handy for my sons 3rd birthday in a few weeks! Loads in West Wickham store near Croydon. Could see about two out not including the display one , and they went and got mine from the back, so must have a few! Also i did phone before i collected to make sure! :beer:

mmmmmmmm iv just reserved one for my son had to do a few searches to find one in stock near by but dont mind the drive.
Anyway like i said got one reserved as they were in stock for collection got reservation no. inc. email then 10mins after got a phone call from them saying they are not in stock cos of the computer messed up. they said that 2 other people have reserved today and got the only 2 that are in stock if they come and collect them tomorrow if not im next in line.

What are the T&T's (terms and conditions) on this is there anything i can do about it or is it the same as the missprices and they can get out of it?

i would have had to do a 48min drive to get there.

Hi Wozzer, welcome to MSe, unfortunately this is a common occurance.

Your order may have been genuinely out of stock, or it may have alerted the staff to a bargain and one of them may have bought it instead.

Just be thankful they rang you and you didn't have a wasted journey.

It's no good getting mad over bargains on here, at the end of the day there'll be another along soon that will help you forget about this one.

Reserved and then received a phone call from local store in record time, none in stock but he's going to ring around to try and get one for me. So fingers crossed I will have happy boys! But big pat on the back for Halfords Haverfordwest for at least trying to be helpful even if he doesn't succeed.

Got a battered box in tonbridge, but contents all OK. Thinking of taking this down to the beach in the summer, goes in the boot easily, thanks OP

got mine today from the store that had a error on there computer was going to get one from a local store as one came up for reserve this morning but once i reserved it thought i better give them a ring to find out if first they had it in stock even though it said it was and to see if it was brand new its was in stock but ex display and broken and they would not discount it thought stuff that and took a 1hr drive to the other store and got a brand new one.
total bargain im sure my son will love it!!
