Part Exchanging a Car on finance
Ive had my car on finance from a car supermarket for 1 month, but the fuel consumption is ridiculous, and they said theres "nothing wrong with it", which translates into "we wont fix it"... and I notice that Renault are doing a deal on Clio's... so my question is, is there a way of part exchanging my car, which is on finance for 4 years, even though Ive only made one monthly payment?

If you can't get a refund on the car, then the best approach is to try sell it and then clear off the finance with the proceeds, there is likely to be an extra charge for this but should be less than the total interest of the finance agreement.
As for fuel consumption have you had the car serviced, or did they claim it had been serviced when you bought it? How much does it differ from the manufacturer's specifications? Poor miles per gallon is usually something that has a cure (which can be as cheap as an air filter for a couple of quid, spark plugs maybe £20) so I would explore that avenue first. Maybe with a specialist that deals with your brand of car, or ask on a forum on the internet that deals with your brand of car?
What car is it by the way?
A Renault Clio will be expensive to get serviced. But someone recently said on here you can get servicing ridiculously cheap in France compared with here.0 -
The fuel consumption is rediculous? What car is it? And didn't you take the engine size/running costs into account one month ago when you were buying it...?
You will need to ge ta settlement figure off the finance company. Such a short time into the deal may incurr charges of around £500. But each company varies.0 -
Take your car to the Renault Dealer, see what they say, but I fear that you will be well out of pocket on such a deal.0

I get customers coming in moaning about poor fuel consumption etc. I feel like saying "well you chose to buy a bleeding 3 litre...". But I don't, I smile and say "well its all down to driving styles..."0

Regardless of what you are driving swapping a car after a month of ownership will cost you a lot more than a few extra gallons of fuel a month. It depends which supermarket you bought it from but some have very punitive cancellation charges.

Do you actually think there is a problem and the garage are not prepared to do anything about it ?
I remember a few years ago we had a car on finance and had a problem with the car, the garage wouldnt sort it, so cutting things very short after a phonecall to the finance company the garage sorted the problem. Remember the car is the finance companies not yours, so they should try and help if theres a problem.0
