Croatia - for just a few days

My friends have recommended Croatia for the beaches. My partner and I could go for a few days September - 6th to 11th but since it is less than a week we can't find a package and also can't find any budget carriers. Has anyone got any ideas?

I think he may be having a laugh! Croatia IS a great place to go, but not for the beaches - which are mainly rocky or man made. There are a few Islands with sand, but this is not an option if your only going for a few days, as you'd spend too much time travelling. I've been to Croatia six times in the last ten years. I was one of the few people visiting during the "war" Now it's got itself back on the Tourist map it's becone one of the new "must see" destinations. Unfortnately the prices for Hotels and Restaurants seems to have more than tripled in the past five years. I now favour the Montenegro coastline, which is still fairly untouched by Tourism.0
