  • As Cat says each board tends to have it's own specific abbreviations so just ask and we won't bite... well maybe a nibble :D

    and second GC= Grocery Challenge

    What else is troubling you?

    Hi Northern Princess,

    I've been posting here for over seven years I still get confused by some of the abbreviations. :D As has been said, if you don't understand something, just ask and someone will be able to help.

    In addition to the link that taplady kindly posted, this one is more specific to this board:

    Standard abbreviations used in Old Style

    I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the replies together.

    there are a few more recent ones so maybe we can update this list as we think of them; for starters:

    YS = yellow stickered or whoopsies = items reduced to clear :)
    ... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

  • I am so glad there is a thread for this because ever since I joined I have enjoyed trying to figure out what some of them stand for. I even figured out:

    NSD = no shopping days

    But what is the "T" for in the title of the thread "No T words mentioned" - obvioulsy, I wanted to go in and ask, but that would mean they would have to mention this T word. What is it?

  • NSD - no spend days

    Thanks FrugalLina, I have not idea what the T means either. Unless it means Tesco.

    The "T" word is Tough, there's a long series of Tough times threads which some folk found a bit doom and gloon , no T word threads are aimed to be as supportive but less of the gloom (or at least that's my understanding of it).
