Do I need life insurance?

Hi,
Me and my wife are both 30 years old this year, wihtout children and without mortgage (renting) and debt free. I'm wondering whether I/we need a life insurance.
We both have fairly good pensions and I have a death grant on mine (lump sum of 2x my annual salary). I don't know all the details about my wife's one.
Most people relate the life insurance to their mortgage and after reading quiet a few threads on the subject I am unsure whether I should be concerned by life insurance.
Thanks

You may not have an immediate need for life cover but what would happen should one of you have a serious illness, give up work and then the other person also has to give up work to look after you.
How would you live comfortably?
I know benefits would cover the necessities but would this be enough?0 -
