Ok Need to save £2500 by may

Options
Right ill start

So im moving to kavos for 5 months in may to work but i want to save £2500 up before i go. Working out as

£600 for bills (phonebilletc)
£1000 for spending money for first 2 week as a holiday
£800 for emergency money and flights home.

So i started saving 3 weeks ago and Saved £300 but unfortunatly my Brother stole my mobile phone and bank card and helped him self so i was £200 down from the £300 which he took out and £50 to get phone through insurance,

Im mainly posting this for a bit of moral support because saving isnt my best point . And maybe some people have some ideas for money saving and extra income and yes ive looked through the Build your income board.

I have 11 Weeks and 5 days lol

Wish me Luck :D:D

  • Firstly, why the hell aren't you more bothered about your brother stealing your money?

I'd have kicked my bro's !!! if he'd done that

Edit : I've got to find 3k before March 19th to pay for my honeymoon. So far we've got about 2k.. dunno where the rest will come from!

Sounds like you're gearing up for a pretty wild time... Cost of living should be about the same as the north of England - £500 a week for the first 2 weeks and £800 emergency dosh could be more than you need (brownie point for considering it by the way, many don't).

Is this based on normal holiday spends, or a worst-case estimate (dunno if you're a Greece regular). Being one of yer "old gits", I'm down to around 50% spending dosh on booze - they'd be sending me back in a jiffy-bag after a £1k fortnight...
