Flooded Carpet due to possible plumbing

Hello,

Got the keys for a new build flat off the letting agent on 4/02/08, moved in only to find that the fridge hadn't been installed and the plug socket was behind the woodwork, got that sorted and found out that the washers cold inlet pipe is connected to the hot pipe and it doesn't reach the cold pipe, that was supposed to be sorted on the 08/02/08 but upon finally moving my belonging in on 09/02/08 it was obvious that it was how it was left . Connected my tv to the aerial wall socket only to find that there was no signal (can only assume the aerial on the building is not connected). So the first night in my new flat was someone boring but i thought i will contact the agents on Monday (tomorrow) and get it sorted.

Took a shower for the first time this morning turned the tap off and i could hear water flowing from behind the taps and i knew something wasnt right, stepped out only to find the bathroom floor, the carpet in the hallway and the bedroom were saturated with water.

Letting agents are closed today and their advice line says to turn the water off and drain the remaing water in the pipes, which ive done. I've left a message on their voicemail highlighting this problem. I have now had to move some of my belongings out of the property and into my friends as i have no water.

It's been one thing after another and its only been the first week and out of that week i have only been there one night. Is this something that is claimed on the landlords insurance as its totally out of my control?

Is there anything else i should be doing, feel like i cant do anything until Monday.

HELP!!
