looking for work experence in the tourism industry and don't know where to start

I am currently in my first year of a tourism management degree and am looking for work experence in the summer. I don't know where to start. Looking do work in London in any area of the tourism industry and need help do know where to start.

Just spotted this - sorry to be late in answering - I'm currently teaching this - due to start employability in tourism next week - LOL

First thing to decide is what field do you want to work in when you've graduated - there's no point in working in a hotel if you want to work in airlines - unless you just want it for your CV, which is a good thing in itself.

Have you got a decent CV? And if so, have you done a personal statement for the covering letter?

Join some agencies - If you want catering or Hotel work, there are plenty of agencies that specialise in this. Have a look on the BA and Virgin sites as well, as they sometimes advertise for work placements.

Come back and say what you want to do later and I'll have a think.
