  • Hi, I just spent a couple of days in Oban and stayed at a lovely guest house, there are loads of places to stay http://www.scottishaccommodationindex.com/oban.php

Are you going over to Mull? it is a wonderful place to visit. Duart Castle is lovely and the views stunning.

When you are in Edinburgh. Try here http://www.edinburgh.org/ for info

and lastminute.com for hotels. We stayed in the Edinburgh Hilton last time we were in Edinburgh, pricey but nice, they do theatre packages too.

    Enjoy your short break

bargainbelle which Guest House did you stay at in Oban? Possibly up there for a couple of days this w/end and need a recommendation.

Just spent the day at Gleneagles having afternoon tea and a wander round the shops and leisure centre, wonderful place to people watch.

I worked there a number of years ago for Jackie Stewart at the Shooting School and never failed to enjoy just walking through the hotel ;)

Hi, I stayed here http://www.wellparkhouse.co.uk/ it was clean, friendly, good breakfast, had private parking, not too badly priced! although I did wangle it a bit cheaper as it was an emergency! my dh had been taken ill while we were on holiday on Mull and had been rushed to hospital in Oban!

I don't live too far from Gleneagles!

Have fun in Oban, don't go to the Sea life centre it is an overpriced disappointment! In fact I wouldn't actually choose to go to Oban! get the ferry to Mull instead :j

when I have people come and stay in Edin, we normally go and stay at some appartments .... in Tollcross ....

    appartments

they have a lounge and are kept clean. Park the car on Whitehouse Loan which is 5 min up the road, and there are no restrictions, although it can be a bit busy.

As the festival is on, it may be difficult to get a place, and you may well be better off staying outside of the town.

    Hope that helps....
One day I want to be the pigeon...... and not the statue!
