Spark Electricity Company

Hi I used a comparison site and Spark Electricity comes out as my best supplier. However I have never heard of them. Are they just coming out first because they have yet to put up their prices?

  • Hi I live in Scotland. I used various comparison sites and This is Money is the only site that shows Spark Electricity Company. Even using comparison sites from MSE does not show Spark Electricity Company. After I posted this I noticed the thread about EDF, I will be changing my supplier and Spark Electricity Company seems the best deal unless they are also about to put up their prices.

As they are new, and if you pay by monthly direct debit it may be wise not to allow a credit balance to mount up, as if they went out of business you would be an unsecured creditor and be at the end of any payout.

This of course applies to any supplier. Don't forget Amerada Hess went out of business, and for a while it looked like those with a credit balance would lose their money until another company took their customers and honoued any balances.

why not contact the company and ask when there price's are to go up as I believe Ebico aka southern electric are to be the last on 31st march for this quarter as from past experience companies usually put there price's up around about june then again in october...like in 2006 so It would seem that what is the cheaper now wont be in october...so I would get in touch with them and ask them when they put up there price's and how much does it go up...:D
