Barcelona is a fantastic city however like a lot of European cities can be quite expensive.
In the Easter Holidays it will be busy so the prices will likely stay pretty high.
The weather at Easter should be better than here but not likely to be beach weather.
The bars and restaurants on Las Ramblas are very expensive so not a wise choice to eat or drink in them. Just off Las Ramblas the price drops a lot, there are loads of really good tapas bars.
Shopping is great in Barcelona, really like it and normally end up spending loads when I go!
If you like football the Nou Camp is worth a visit, fantastic stadium. Sagrada Familla is worth a visit, still unfinished over 100 years after Gaudi took over as lead architect. Building is expected to continue until 2041!
The cable car ride is always popular as is the area where the Olympics were held.
The metro is a really easy and cheap way to get around 1 euro for a one way ticket.:j Debt free since 31/01/08:j

If you're going over Easter, check the opening times for the attractions before you leave home; we were caught out by the Camp Nou shutting at midday on Good Friday!0

Do you mean the Easter weekend or the spring school holidays? Easter week end in Spain can be expensive.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

To get the most out of your visit, I'd recommend that you do some research and have a pretty good idea of what you want to see, check out opening times and plan your days to minimise going back and forth across the city.
Think about whether buying a Barcelona Card will save you money.
Depending on which airport you fly into (NOT Girona), you can use it to travel into the city, for public transport and reduced entrance fees into some museums.
