I was thinking, course of action.
Would it be a good idea to try & get everything onto one loan, as described earlier?
And if that doesnt work, get a loan to round up the 4k AA loan, 1.5k Citicard, 700 HFc & 1.8k overdraft?
I mean, if i can get all that onto one loan, at a decent rate of course, that would be 8000, if i can get a low apr, i could save money?
is this a good option, or not?0 -
Youve done the 1st hurdle you put ur hands up and asked for help thats the hardest and the 1st step.
You need to sit down with your gf and explain all the debta and what your incomings and outgoings are, is there any chance that you could reduce what you pay ur gfirend.
certainly look for cheaper car ins, try the money saving sites, and also whether any of these are on the cash back sites.
I know its not much money, but have you started the click back sites, the survey sites, (if you want a list of the sites I do just pm and will 4ward you that).
bankruptcy is really the most draatic option, and you need to try every avenue you can,
is there any way of looking at making extra money, have you had any credit card charges you can put in for, missold ppi.
Bank charges saga, thats on back burner at the mo.
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
i can get money for doing surveys???
Wow, i'm up for some of that!
how much do you get?
thanks for the info, can you drop me a pm with the address for the site please?0 -
So, my debts, the rbs one is 252, the others added together are 254, and amount to 8k.
sainsburys are the lowest in this range, 8k over 48mths is £191, saving me 63 per month.
So, in 4 years time, i will be 8k less, and fingers crossed i can save up some cash & pay it off early.
The RBS one has 4 years left too, that would make me debt free in 4 years!
does this seem like a good option?
opinions please0 -
That is of course, if i can get credit, and considering the state of play at the moment borrowing isnt so hot just now?0

Anyone have any opinions as to the above ideas?
thanks0 -
Hey there, said i'd be back! Don't really know much about loans and things i'm sure some of the others do. If i were you i'd try just to save as much as humanly possible. I've had 6 months now of frugal living after my OH was made redundant and the peoples advice on here has been brilliant. Have you looked through any of the other boards yet? I can recommend the Old Style board i love it over there, loads of money saving tips and ideas. Also have you tried filling in Martins Budget planner? if not it's at the top of here and it's really simple to do0

Hope so!
I thought people were against saving, and instead pay off debts as soon as theres any spare cash?
The old school board is pretty cool, theres some wierd tips on there though!
Busy doing the budget planner now.
Still have'nt found the paperwork for all my debts, think i may have shredded it in a moment of madness, will have to ring up i think.
I hate ringing up aswell, people can be so unhelpful, and i really dislike the overseas call centres, im not racist, i just find them really hard work sometimes, a geordie accent isnt very well understood.0 -
