Cheap car servicing

I have a Peugeot 407 car and a 36,000 mile service was going to set me back nearly £300. I was shortly going to France on a camping holiday and decided, as its a French car, to have it serviced over there. It cost me £106, including a free car wash. I also bought wiper blades (for some reason you can't buy them here yet, at least not at Halfords, only at the main dealerships). They were half price than if I had bought them at a main dealer in this country.
Not bad. I've heard that any make of car is cheaper to have it serviced abroad than in this country.

Thanks Babstreefern. I'm off to France myself this year and I'd never considered that. It'll be a few thousand miles before the actual service time is due but it's a major service this time around so might be worth it.0
