BMI Baby Card

in Credit cards
Just applied for and got a BMI baby credit card. Switched it on today.
Great deal - If you spend £100 on card in first 90 days , you can claim a free return flight on BMI.
A couple of questions ....
1) Has anyone managed to do this yet ? or is it Just a couple of available free flights and you have no chance.
2) Trying to be clever , I also attempted to apply for a card in my Wifes name. The card I have is just in my name. I filled in the on-line application form. However the application was rejected. Figured if we both had a card with seperate accounts ...we could both get free flights :-)
Does this rejection mean a black mark on my credit history/score :-(
Figure I will get free return free flight and go away on me own ...

When I got mine the few flights available were on a wet Tuesday to UK destinations only . Complete waste of time.Ethical moneysaver0

They are not great. Limited places available and limited destinations. You still pay the tax, etc so end up saving about £10 or £20 over the full cost of the flight. In my case I booked and about 6 weeks before I was due to travel they cancelled the return flight. I got a refund (on the taxes, etc) and booked with Ryanair for less than their "free" flight.
One last thing remember this is BMI Baby not BMI.0
