Hi all,

Ive managed to splash perfume onto my silver widescreen TV. The screen is fine but the plastic case is stained. It looks like grease marks or finger marks that I cant shift! Any ideas on how to remove this please ?

Sorry. I've looked, but I can't find anything to help. Mind you, I'm not the best search engine driver in the world...

I think something in perfume actually stains, but maybe it's the oil that's making the marks. Have you tried rubbing something like neat washing up liquid into the stains? Patch test on the back first though, just in case.

Other than that, I can't think of or find anything else to help either.

What about wd40? I dont know but it sounds as if the perfume may have etched into the plastic. Otherwise you could maybe spray the affected area with silver paint, though that may make it look worse! Good luck

try rubbing it with some bread. it worked when i got perfume on some patent shoes, can't see it'll do any harm if it doesn't work.
