That's far too hard a question...

Don't even know whether our problems will be financial, resource issues, war or disease.

Many of the outcomes involve starving to death, so try to keep a little bit of food in stock...

..so a semi-automatic weapon and an acre of permaculture land surrounded by electric and barbed-wire fencing would be a safe bet? :rotfl:

    Must be a northern expression.

It involves having plenty of energy to be able to fulfil demands on your body...

I can recommend bananas for stamina... I used to do a lot of gas rig work...up and down lots of steps and ladders. Seemed to help...

Best to be discrete. There are always more people wanting to eat, than bullets to stop them.

But just remember this: If that man driving the lorry marked "Tesco" or "Sainsbury" or whatever fails to do his job, then there is less than a day's worth of food at your supermarket.

    Going hungry is no fun.

That is true, and apart from wanting a more natural diet anyways I've been looking into foraging as a possible survival option. I'm all for options!! There's a huge amount of edibles in the South all just waiting to be harvested, and apart from the gun and fencing I do have a permaculture acre to play with, and intend to be pretty much self sufficient one day. But I also know that if the midden hits the windmill then I'm going to have to move on sharpish as there's always someone else bigger and harder (and lots more of them!!) to move in and take what you have worked hard to build because they're desperate. I hope it never comes to that.

    More beer anyone?
