            Hey Section
Since there are a whole bunch of insurers offering critical illness-type plans - and they all cover slightly different things in their policies - there's no straight answer to your question. You'll need to read through your policy terms very carefully; they should define exactly what the criteria your condition will need to meet for a claim to be accepted.
Very generally speaking, benign cancers are not covered by conventional critical illness plans - which tend to pay only on diagnosis of a malignant cancer. Trouble is, there are so many different cancers, it's very hard to give you any guidance without referring to your specific policy and medical history and diagnosis.
Give your insurer's claims line a call and discuss your situation with them. You may find that they'll ask you to complete a claim form - this will give them access to your medical records. They can then contact your doctor(s) and once they've got your papers, they'll be able to work out whether to accept the claim or not - and explain what they decide and why.
 Hope that helps0

As far as I am aware (not an advisor!) and speaking from exprience (making a claim now) Scot Provident cover all cancers that are Malignant and invasive.0
