Nationwide gold is 10 months at 0%, besides, you'd be better spending on a NW on hols & BTing to a 0% card.

You have two options; your bank, or one of the credit-builder cards (but you won't get 0%) such as those provided by Capital One, Vanquis, Aqua, or Barclaycard.

Fundamentally though, are you on the Electoral Roll?

    So,
    • You only have the one credit account listed on your credit report...and that has a black mark attached to it.
    • You have some address issues.
    • You have very little 'history' from which a lender can decide whether to offer you credit or not.
The address on your credit report is that which comes from the Electoral Roll. When you apply for credit, the lender searches the files of Fraud Prevention Agencies, who DO store your address data...which may be different to that verified by your Electoral Roll entry?

The 'advice' is as I gave you before...either your own bank or a credit-builder card.

BTW, your mother's Halifax application has nothing to do with your own Halifax rejection.

my just wondering if i should wait till my bank have updated my address ( i have sent a letter and everything to chase this up because i did ask for it not to be done) before i apply to my bank or capital one
I think that would be very wise.

Sorry! But as Nationwide or the Post Office don't do foreign transaction fees, you'd be (if you can get them) better spending on one of those on hols, then BTing to a long 0% card.
