Is being in debt making me ill?

I cant help feeling depressed. I though 2008 would be a baetter year for us. But it keeps getting worse.
We get invited out loads but I keep cancelling as I dont feel in the mood.
Our marriage is very rocky at moment (only been married for 3 years this August). DH and are always arguing, havent had sex in 2 mths, and just hardly talk to one another. We have 2 children so its very hard to get out of the house with no money and no babysitters
Anyone else feel like this? I just wanna cry all the time.

As you can see by my signatre we are in soo mch debt. We can only manage to pay about £100 each month off each debt. Its becoming a nightmare. We both work but its getting us no where. We also rent and have never owned our own home due to debt problems and house prices being sky highsugarpants wrote: »I cant help feeling depressed. I though 2008 would be a baetter year for us. To be honest, you don't; not as you're already in debt. I hate to get personal, but you say that you've not had sex in a while? Seduce your OH - not a fix for everything, but it may help. Then have a chat about money, and get an SOA together see this: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280, post it here and try & sort out why you are in debt and how you can get rid of it AND prevent it from happening again.
I don't want to sound horrid, but you put angry smileys by your debts - I trust you are angry with youselves for running these up?
The only way forward is to take control.

Then my apologies, it didn't sound so in your earlier posts. I wish you all the best, and hope you sort things out.0 -
Sorry sugarpants but I was under the same impression as Mozette that's why I suggested posting up your Statement of Affairs.
As Mozette says, good luck x0 -
Hi sugarpants,
Depression is something that affects a lot of people, and it's very common amongst people with debts. Have you seen the thread about coping with debt and depression? There are lots of people on there who know exactly what it's like, and you'll find a wealth of support and experience there.0 -
Being in debt is exhausting and having two children is exhausting. I'm not surprised you want to cry all the time! How old is your youngest? You say you've only been married for 3 years so I'm guessing your children are quite young. We have two children and lets just say sex was not at the top of the agenda for quite a while! Getting back on track a bit now (our youngest is 18 months). I do know that it sometimes feels as if you're working against each other not as a team. I really hope things get easier for you and your hubby - we have found that having one night a week where we make a huge effort to have 'us' time even if we're knackered really helps. We get a babysitter for an hour or two and then pop to our local and have about 2 drinks! Means we can go out for under £20 and we get a chance to just chat.
Hope that helps a bit - I wanted to reply because my heart really went out to you. I so remember wanting to cry all the time.
Please remember to look after yourself as well as your hubby and kids. Something that often gets forgotten!
Take care
