Help please with AA insurance

Hi there I'm just after a bit of advice. Recently someone reversed into me in a car park. The other party admitted liability and we exchanged details. As the claim was being processed,it became apparent that the other party had given me fake details and the vehicle was not registered, nor insured :mad: Cutting a long story short, I'm unsure whether to make a claim or not. The pros and cons are as follows:-

The pro's
1) I get my car repaired
2) I can claim for Neck sprain which I did have - I believe I have to claim this off the Motor Insurance Bureau?

The Cons
1) I think My insurance will go up (even though it wasn't my fault and I have nine years protected)
2) It will be on my insurance records for 5yrs
3) I have to pay £250.00 excess
4) its one claim made

I'm just wondering which is the best option to go for? Will it be more beneficial for me to claim or not to claim? I really feel unsure what to do. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
