B&Q Madrid Parts - Where can i get them?

I bought a MAdrid bathroom suite a couple fo years ago, ithe toilet has a central flush mechanism via a push-button.

Through normal use, the button has broken, I've glued it once but it only lasted a few months.

I went into B&Q today but they don't seem to sell the part and the staff were clueless.

Does anyone know where I can pick up a couple of the buttons, as B&Q also don't seem to sell flush mechanisms that fit the toilet either, so it isn't like I can just replace the whole flusher!

Any help would be very much appreciated :)

  • Because it's been a couple of years since you got it, it is out of warranty, which makes it a bit trickier. It is a shame the staff at your store were less than helpful, but I would try again. I work at B&Q (not in the kitchen and bathroom dept though) but we do keep spare parts. They may be a member of staff that is accountable for them so try and speak to them, as they may be able to order them for you. If all else fails ask to speak to the Showroom manager or call the head office.
  • Thanks for the reply starkitten :)

I don't mind buying the part, it's the tracking it down that makes it harder!

I have another go tomorrow, failing that call HO.

Let us know how you get on. I'm interested as we've just installed the same and the button is already sticking occasionally. Looking inside it all appears very cheap and plasticy. We've another bathroom to do with the same style (already purchased) and I'm already wondering if I should have bought elsewhere!

BQ have some strange policies. my mate tried to buy the Madrid WC on its own, to match a sink and bath.
BQ said, we cannot sell you one, it only comes as a complete suite!

  • Supplier for B and Q Madrid suite is TJH - phone no 0161 703 3360
They do a cistern fittings pack which you have to go to a B+Q shop to ask them to order for you - barcode is 3247230014002

I know the original post was from last year... but I just wanted to say that you can buy the replacement buttons for £12 inc. p&p at http://www.toiletspares.co.uk/spare_buttons_28.html
