Receiving bills form someone else at my home ?? HELP !

I am receiving bills from Npower, in someone else's name, at someone else's address, c/o my address.

There must be a couple in Manchester who are not paying their bills, because I am recieving bills for them, at the address in Manchester (I have never lived in Manchester, and never used Npower) but c/o my address in Lancashire. I have received many of these, now going back 12 months, and I have now rang Npower twice, and written three times, advising them of this. The third time I wrote I lost my temper and said this is harrassment and I intend to take it further if I receive any further correspondence. I have rang Head Office, spoke to a Manager who assured me I will not be bothered again, but still the letters come.

What can I do about this ? I have recently written to the Energy Ombudsman and Energywatch, what else can I do ?

Thanks in advance

  • Just put" return to sender not at this address "on the envelope and pop back in the post after about 10 letters they then should send no more, its happened to me many times with TV licensing and Sky tv.
  • I had similar with British Gas taking legal action against me for someone's gas supply - even though I've never had gas or even lived in the area that house was in!
It took a lot of letters, but when it went to Energywatch it was sorted very quickly (from memory after about a week). The harassment from the DCA was horrendous though and I can totally sympathise with your frustrations over this.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Many thanks, the letters to Energywatch and the Ombudsman are in the post as I type this. Lets hope they get the message then.
