£50 Post office cash back

Thanks to this website, I got the best car insurance deal ever through the Post Office, due to start Feb 11th. However, thanks again to this site, the Post Office have introduced £50 cashback for new customers. I didn't qualify as they started the deal after I called to set up the policy, so I have just cancelled incurring no costs as the policy hasn't yet started, and set up a new policy for the same price but with £50 going back into my account in 60 days. that's £50 saved in less than half an hour... nice one! (ps they did give me a higher quote second time around but waived the difference with a bit of encouragement.)

If you would have done the deal through the Quidco.com site you would also see that the Post office are doing a cashbacj through Quidco of 23.00 so you would have been another £23 better off, always check quidco.com to make sure if you can get an extra rebate through companies.Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. :beer:0

Have just changed energy suppliers for both home and the flat my husband lives in during the week, saving another £195 a year. This morning renewed RAC Breakdown cover for in Tesco clubcard deals, so didn't have to pay £82 'real' money.
Savings so far nearly £800.

My next target is water. We read the meter yesterday and have sent it in online. We had an estimated bill last month which means they don't know about all the water we used last year when we had an extension built. Want to get a bill before the price increase in April.
Am also going to go for reduction in the bill as our surface water drains into a soakaway.Make £2025 in 2025

If you have British Gas central heating cover go for the new plans. On the old plan I was paying £16 a month. There is a new plan offering the same cover at £11 a month. Catch is you have to pay £50 per call out. So, as long as you call out less than once every 10 months you'll save money.0

Think this doesn't apply with the £50 cashback deal, not 100% though, but the terms state "Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer"Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0
