Bad credit rating cards

in Credit cards
Hello All.
I have a poor credit rating beacuse of my address and a few defaults on my record from about 3+ years ago. I know that Barclaycard and Capital One have good acceptance rates however I did default with both in that period so I cant apply to them. I applied to Vanquis and was rejected.
I have been in a new job for almost 2 years and been clear of debt for about that period. Would anyone have any advice on who else might accept me ? I am now in a stable job with a reasonable income and would like a card not only for flexibility in my finances but also for rebuilding my status further.
Anyone any ideas ? Thanks in advance
PS - alternatively advice on any loan companies that may accept someone with my circumstances without the "exorbitant" interest rates (eg 60% APR) some charge ?

You might be surprised - I managed to get a Capital One card (but only a £200 limit) while I was actually still paying off a £3k CCJ, which was for a balance I defaulted on with them a couple of years previously! (although having said that, they didn't issue the CCJ, they had sold the debt on to another company). May still be worth a shot though. Good luck!I know that Barclaycard and Capital One have good acceptance rates however I did default with both in that period so I cant apply to them.0 -
If you had a capital one Mastercard, then you can apply for a visa or vice versa. I had both with them at one point now got rid of them both.
If not have you tried Aqua, they are another "bad credit" card although their rate is high not as high as vanquis though.
Otherwise for a loan try alliance & leicester they may still give you one but not at the lowest rate.0 -
