How do I change the size of new windows?

I like to open links in new windows, it means I can surf several sites at once and read one while another is loading (I am very impatient) i have being doing this years and it works for me.
I have just bought a new PC but when I right click 'open link in new window' the new window is too small. I know you can maximise or re-size by dragging the sides out but it still brings up small windows when I open a new link.
I thought I found the answer by opening new window, resizing it then closing the original window using ALT F4, then new windows do open up full screen, but only for that session, once I close all the windows down and open a new session I am back to square one,
Can you help please?

Alternatively just right click on the IE logo, select properties and there should be a box beside run. Click on the arrow beside it and select maximised, click apply then ok. Now your windows should open up using the whole screen.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

Point the cursor over the corner of the window until it changes to a double headed arrow, then left click and hold and drag the window to maximum.
Repeat with other corner.0 -
