am i correct in thinking that the maximum to place into an isa is 3000 annually, but that you can hold an infinite number of isa's?

    Yes currently £3000, rising to £3600 this April, and yes you can have as many as you want...but you can only pay up to the maximum allowance into one of them each tax year, you cannot pay £3000 or £3600 from April into all of them in the same tax year.

  • you can only have one maxi stocks/shares isa per tax year, or a mini cash isa plus mini stocks/shares isa. but you can invest your stocks/shares allowance in as many funds or shares as you like. ;)

    i don't blame you for being confused though.
