hotel phone

Can anyone suggest calling card services for making calls, mostly to the UK, from a hotel within the UK?

I'm pretty sure the hotel I'm going to has direct dial phones - but I don't know how much they charge, and I don't know whether or not they charge for 0800/0808 numbers.

I've thought about callback services, but I don't know whether or not there's an automated switchboard for receiving inbound calls. However, I'd be very surprised if there wasn't.

So I want to prepare for all possibilities. I'd prefer post-pay if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks.
