they've just been moved to a more relevant board I think"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."- Samuel Butler0 -
Well this posting got here ok..............maybe what you were doing before wasn't quite right. If you follow what you've done this time you should be ok.
Sorry.............I;m no good at giving instructions at this sort of thing (without going off my post and having a fresh look at the thread)but would like to say 'welcome to you'. Maybe someone will pop on with clear instructions.:jMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Some of your posts might have gone because you kept posting links to the same website? I have to admit I was a little concerned when 3 out of 4 posts were all about the same time - that rings bells with the forum admin about possible advertising
(and with me to be honest...)
I'm not saying you were spamming the boards! But that is how it can look if your first x amount of posts are all with links to the same site if you know what I mean?
When you have been here a while you'll probably come across spamming posts and see what I am on about
It's something people complain about a lot so we've tried to clamp down on it (we being MSE admins and the BGs)
If you do post links try to keep it to one post instead of 3 or more in a short space of time otherwise it will come across as spam.
Hope that helps and welcome to MSE!

It's really weird though - I posted that one in the Techie section but also posted two or three in here about a poetry site - one was a new post but then I also replied to some posts, but they've all disappeared...!!!
I did mention a specific site...is that against the rules? (Admittedly, I haven't actually read the rules...maybe I should!) I'm a bit gutted as I was hugely excited about this site and I'm not really sure what I've done wrong...!! If anyone could enlighten me I'd be v grateful!

And before you ask then no I didn't remove the posts - but I was monitoring you to make sure you wasn't a spammer - if more posts had appeared with the links then I would have removed them

Oh, Tine, I've just seen your post; think we must've written them simultaneously!
Thanks SO much - I wasn't spamming (cross my heart), but yeah you're probably right, that must've been it!!
Thanks - will just post once for anything I find in the future! xxxxxx0 -
Oh - and more mutual mailing!!!!! xxx0

:rotfl: no worries

Give it a day and then do one post with the link and that should be ok
I honestly was just a case of too many identical links at once - problem is this is classical spamming tactics so would have come up on the radar
(which is what happened to me... - I saw one post with a link and then if it's a new user I usually do a check on what other posts you have done and if they all are for the same site I monitor carefully (unless it's dead obvious it's spamming...) until I decide if it was over enthusiam or clever spamming lol)
Really don't worry about - but reading the rules is always a good idea - when you are really bored have a crack at them and be grateful that unlike us BGs you don't have to have a copy of them on your desktop to refer to :rotfl:DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! BG stands for Board Guide - we're not mods but see my signature and it has a brief explanation
