Identifying OEIC Funds

Options
I am trying to put all my funds into a 'my portfolio' feature on Trustnet (which is a brilliant site) but I have had real trouble identifying which funds I hold in the various pensions and other investments which my wife and I have collected.

The statements supplied by the companies don't give the exact titles or a unique reference number like the SEDOL or CITICODE. Nonetheless I have found most of them if only by looking on the company website and comparing the name (often vague) eg European and the price on my statement.

I'm really struggling with Halifax who can't identify a fund they call European which is in fact (I think European Retail Share Class A). It is priced on their website but not on Trustnet.

So specifically
1 Can anyone identify the fund?
2 Can we have a campaign so statements referrring to pension funds and OEICs give a unique identifier?

I think from memory that Halifax use class C funds as their retail funds. A bit more unusual as class A tend to be retail and B institutional. I cant check because I never leave people in naff funds and the minute anyone mentions Halifax I have them out of there on a transfer!

Some do. Some refer you to the website or third party data suppliers. Only a minority of funds dont make the SEDOL, ISIN or MEX codes available. Group schemes or money purchase occupational pensions tend to be the worst offenders. Retail funds tend to be more forthcoming.

I can see your problem! The Halifax site just seems to list it as one fund available as OEIC/Life/Pension, but doesn't give any codes for each.

When stuck, I usually go to the FT.com site - is it possibly the 'C' class units that you are after?

I think you may have to contact Halifax to confirm.
