I don't know how Abbey work but surely the DIP will have been done against your credit file in which case the fact you can't afford the loan would have been picked up at that point unless you had stated those debts were being repaid?0

Probably get rejected on affordability if you have quite a lot of outstanding debts. Abbey are a good flexible lender, get it touch with your ifa and find out what the dance is.0

Hi everyone once again thanks for advice & concern - firstly to dwsjarcmdc i actually thought the same myself - & dan 1979 something was mentioned with the broker about stating on the application of paying off our debts But i am still unclear at what was actually stated. I just assumed that abbey was told our debts would be our priority once granted a mortgage - some thing along them lines & yes broker does know about our inability to pay them off in one go & I also assume our broker put in the details pf our debts for the DIP . This is all assumptions everything will be more clearer after the weekend When I get find out properly whats what..
And Mr broderick I did know a chance of rejection on afffordibilty would be a problem But maybe I was living in hope..I do hope your right with abbey & that they will maybe look at the case again.
Another concern sorry everyone but the surveyors fee as been claimed over the last couple of days - one half of me hopes that abbey have had a change of mind(dream on) or that i will be refunded!! oh well i will keep updating just out of interest
thanks again0 -
If the figures don't quite add up they may well give you a DIP for a lower loan amount then.0
