Hi. Just bought an apple mac laptop. Anyone know of any free software sites for anti-virus/pop up blockers and firewalls for mac? Checked out a load of sites, none were suitable.

What type of laptop?
If a powerbook or ibook it should already have firewall protection as standard i think. If you use safari there is a pop up blocker with this.
But if anyone knows of any extra's that are free for macs then please post below...0 -
I'm afraid i don't know of any, but you're very unlikely to have any virus problems, there don't seem to be many virus for macs. It's supposed to be one of the benifits of having one.
so until you find something, don't worry too much0 -
it's an ibook. It does have a pop up blocker, but it ain't great. Unsure whether it has a firewall as standard. Can't see it anywhere, but maybe it's there. Thanks for the replies tho' much appreciated :beer:0

wow thanks a bundle, much appreciated!! If only I'd have thought of asking in here first, wouldn't have spent so much time trawling useless websites :beer:0
