Big tesco mistake in my favour what to do?

I was supposed to have a delivery weds well 15 mins before the end of the slot I get a call saying the van broke down and they would re schedule for tomorrow Thurs and once I have my delivery to phone customer service and they will refund my service charge.
Well my delivery came as promised and on my reciept it says coupons used -£20 plus for a shop totalling £133 before bogofs they have credited me with 2387 points :D:D now do I phone to get back my delivery charge or go with the huge ammount of points and the £20 a bit worried if I phone they will notice the mistake incidently the only code I used was one for an extra 250 pts very confused oh and that code was sent to me not one I took from here or any other site so no codes were used that I was not entitled to

I've never had shopping delivered - is there any chance they have credited you with extra points because they failed to deliver when expected?

If you use those points on clubcard deals in the most efficient way they are worth almost £100.
Do you want to risk the error (if it is one) being spotted and put right to get whatever you paid for delivery back?
Or do you take the view that you have done well on the points , and leave it at that?
The choice, as they say, is yours my friend -my choice would be to leave it.

I think I would choose to belive that the points were awarded as an apology for your order being delayed. I would tell myself this most firmly then I would go and do something else that I don't like doing, such as cleaning the oven, just in case I needed to correct the karmic balance. ;)

Whenever Tesco overcharge people - which is frequently - they only "put it right" for those who spot and complain. Moreover, they have changed their "putting it right" policy in their favour within the past year.

It is certainly within their capability to track down all the customers they have overcharged, but they don't.

My opinion is therefore that you therefore have no moral obligation to inform them of their over-rewarding in this instance.

I think your missing the point, the OPs original message was should he/she do as Tesco advised and phone CS to ask for his delivery charge to be refunded as well as keeping all the points.

In other words there is potential to get back an extra £5 (or whatever the delvery charge was) and at the same time lose a lot more value in points if CS see a mistake and put it right.

Leaving morals aside that is a risk that only the individual can decide on.

I believe the points will soon be converted in to vouchers.
I would wait until you have recieved your vouchers, and then call them for the delivery refund, stating that time has just passed you by..... or something like that lol
