Sorry u are having a lousy day !! I know it's so disappointing when they cancel orders - I sometimes wonder if they use the good stuff as a 'loss leader' (e.g. there is 1 elc dolls house - and they hope people will fill their baskets with the rubbish they have loads to get rid of ). It's just the ones cancelled are always the items (toys) I really want.:mad:

o dear o dear. I am sorry for you, i too have my formerly beloved at home all day, he used to be just my beloved , but after 8 hrs grrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Thanks BISH VEGAS1.....mooched over to teesside park today and got the P&P set and the GWP (didn't bother with the highlighters again as have three)...paid with the parenting £5 voucher and the pink No7 Voucher......£10 to pay and another voucher back !!! YIPEE....felt so proud of myself i went round and did it all over again......think i am getting the hang of this bootsing thing....also the SA's were lovely....congratulated me on my bargains then closed her till and headed straight over the the NO7 counter to pick one up for herself!

Went into Boots this morning, OH in tow, needed Fish Oil capsules. Worked out the best deal, Value Packs, and picked up 3, as on 3 for 2. Found a stash of Soltan, reuced and BOGOF, so well pleased. Went to pay...... waited ages as the very helpful SA was helping someone to fathom the photo machine, then when she came to serve us, she asked if I was expecting to get the Cod Liver Oil on 3 for two....? Well, YES!! She then told us that it did not apply to value packs..grrrr...! I said we'd go back and take another look at the shelves, to work out if the one we'd picked was still the best deal. Nothing on the shelves to indicate VP wasn't in the offer, but there was a note on the big display on top. Fair enough. As we didn't need 3 packs (without an offer), we then chose one pack of Boots Value Pack Cod Liver Oil 498 mg, 250 Capsules as they are on the Health Club deal. Went back to queue. SA was serving someone with multiple items for multiple purchasers on some corporate discount thingy, so we waited quite a while, and OH was getting edgy. Finally got served, and the Soltan stuff took an age to put through, added the fish oil, paid with points, and hurried out. OH asked how much I'd paid, then pointed out that we had been charged full price for the fish oil.
Back in and queued again. Explained the problem to the SA, who said that it was a value pack, and value packs are not on offer. I told her that that one was, and that there was a red flash on the shelf label to show that, yet she still got out the Health Club leaflet, and spent ages poring over it. When she found them, she still didn't believe it, and called anothe SA to query.
This is the important bit - the other SA asked us if we had had OH's card in a kiosk........ and told us.....
14% of cards which have been in an ACM have had some details removed from the card!
She scanned Oh's card, put the Club benefits back on, took the Fish Oil back, refunded in cash, then re-inputted it. Realised we had initially paid in points, and voided the lot and started again. By this time she had also told OH that Boots had decided that, as 86% of cards had not been affected, Boots were not telling anyone (obviously including some SA's, as the first SA knew nothing about this), but were dealing with the problem as the affected customers pointed it out to them! He was very angry, but the SA would only repeat all the big numbers at him (thousands of cards may have been affected) - he obviously was going to get nowhere with her.
We eventually finished the transaction, and I have a receipt now which shows OH's card is working. It wasn't till I got home that I realised they kept three spoiled receipts, one of which had all the Soltan on, which should have had his Over 60's discount, and didn't! Don't much care. I'd had enough, and they were a bargain anyway.

What it boils down to, is that if you are registered for the Health Club, and you have used an ACM, it might easily have stripped off your discount.
I am really angry with Boots for not publicising this, as it is often people who will not know it has happened who will lose out more. I am now going to check my Mum and Dad's cards, to make sure they are working properly.

The SA said it was even worse for Boots(!) as they had just paid for thousands of new machines to be installed all over the country (though our branch is too small to get one). My heart bleeds for poor Mr Multibillionaire Corporate Boots -poor man! No wonder he needs to claw back your Gran's 2p discount on her Boots Basics Soap 3x100g 9.7p per 100 g £0.29 !

This branch had lots of the P & P set, I got one, with a gwp and £5 off. Also managed to get the little brush set for £3 the voucher worked, the SA was a bit hestitant but I just asked her and she did.

This may be why my HC discount never comes off when buying the Sensitive washing liquid.
It used to work and made it half price but now it has to be done manually.
