MorganStanley Platinum card - how many?

Got a weird kind of problem with Morgan Stanley.
I've had their card for a few weeks now. It's working fine and my first bill just got sent through.
However, they just sent me another card with my name on it. It doesn't say if it's a replacement or not, just to call and register it and welcome to Morgan Stanley cards, blah blah.
As far as I know, I haven't asked for this card, although I did request a PIN change. Have they sent me a new card with a new PIN built in to it? I find this hard to believe.

Thats what they do. If you change your PIN they send you a new card. My wife had her PIN changed and got a new card through the post.0

Thanks. I find that a waste of time and money. I hope they don't charge it back to us in the end!0

I have changed my PIN with Nationwide and Tesco and neither have done this. There must be something different with Morgan Stanley.0

They did this to me too.
Don't know of any others that do it.
Waste of plastic really.A greedy man's bag is never full0 -
If this is true, I suppose it's because the PIN is physically embedded in the chip, hence why they can't change it. Plus the fact that they don't have ATMs or branches, although I think this is a pathetic excuse.
Anyway, what annoys me even more is how long it has taken them to send the new one out. I asked for my PIN to be changed more than 6 weeks ago (roughly as soon as I received the original card). That included the time it took them to send out the "request a new PIN" form.
What a bunch of muppets.0
