I find nothing does the job better than getting down on my hands and knees with a floor cloth! I use neat Flash All-Purpose liquid and a heavy (green) microfibre cloth. Occasionally I use a nylon pan scourer to get rid of stubborn marks like black shoes scuffs.
The only problem is that once I'm down there I notice all the other things that need wiping, like the bottom of cupboard doors and skirting boards.

I usually stand up and put the pan scourer under a foot. I find it more effective and, for me, easier to do.

Glad I spotted this thread. We've got vynl in our kitchen...........its a real pain. The cats are always spilling their food on it and if it gets left and dries up its a pig to clean. OH gets the mop and bucket out and normally uses flash all purpose or whatever's to hand.
We were going to try stardrops but can't find it in the supermarket.

  • A solution of white vinegar and water will bring the floor up lovely that's what I use.
