Travelodge Payment

Options
Ok so I had no idea where to post this but here goes I'd like to book a room at Travelodge. The room would be a Saver Room, which as I understand it would be charged at the time of the booking. My question is a bit odd hopefully it doesn't sound like I'm dodgy. Would I be able to use 3V for payment? Persumably as I would pay at the time of the booking there would be no need to show my card on arrival? The only thing is there isn't a physical card to show because of the way 3V works. Travelodge website says this.

How do I pay for a room? Supersaver and Saver rate rooms are only available online and payable via credit or debit card at the time of booking. These rates cannot be refunded. Please check the details carefully before you complete your booking. There is no checkout process at the hotel. You can use Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Switch/Maestro and Visa Delta/Debit cards to pay online. PLEASE NOTE Payment using the Visa Electron and Solo debit cards cannot be taken for bookings or guarantees.
Flexible and Partner rate rooms are payable via credit or debit card at the time of booking. There is no checkout. You can use Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Switch/Maestro and Visa Delta/Debit cards to pay online. The Visa Electron debit card cannot be used.
So I would just take alog my booking confirmation possibly some id just in case? I'm probably being paranoid please could a lovely money saver put my mind at rest. :D

I dont know what a 3v card is, but it doesnt appear to be in their list of acceptable payment methods.

I have used the saver deal a few times and have never been asked for the card I paid with or proof of ID as the deal is fully paid for so there is no need. Hope that helps

I don't remember ever being asked for the card when I've used Travelodge. i just print off the booking details and take that with me.

  • just show them your reference number or e-mail as someone i knew had there card cloned at a travel lodge (farrington) london when he asked for the card at reception desk and disappeared with the card for a few minutes ( he was later sacked for cloning cards ). hope this helps you
