Is it a real Paypal email?

Just got an email from Paypal with my full name on it, not "dear customer" or anything like that, but it's from paypal@email.paypal.co.uk and all links lead to email.paypal.co.uk.

Sent it to spoof just to be sure, but did anyone else get it and is it real?

log into your PP account and find out. always type in the url yourself.
make sure the padlock comes up before you type in your PW.

never click on links via an email.
Get some gorm.
• It was a "newsletter" type thing, so I'm guessing I'm just being over cautious. I never click links in emails anyway.

• Turns out it's real, just me being overly cautious cos it didn't go into my paypal folder.

• A family member got an email from this address (paypal@email.paypal.co.uk) to activate their account. very clever as was addressed to the individual but actually turned out to be a spoof as confirmed by paypal. Prior to clicking on the link, logged onto paypal and it indeed said that he needed to activate his account (as was only opened recently) so guessed that it must be official. Clicked link to activate but activation reminder didn't disaappear so realised something was not quite right.

Changed passwords within 5 minutes and then canceled card just out of precuation. Do you think they've got a system hooked up to download personal details as soon as they get the password, or am i being over paranoid?

For future reference paypal confirm that everything is fake, even genuine emails they send themselves, so it doesn't help identify a real phish.

Hiya, I got a spoof email too similar to yours the other day. They wanted me to send the product whilst the funds were in a 'pending' state. However they never sent the payment and it turned out from reading the email again that the fraudster had sent it himself. Check the spelling of the email and the way it is worded. That is a big give away normally. Luckily I was switched on and never sent the product.
• No this is not a real paypal email. I have just gone through my emails and found a number of them dating back to 2006. They appear in your inbox as from "Paypal" unlike genuine emails from paypal. Also the first letter of my surname was spelt lower case unlike emails I know to be genuine ones from paypal. Return email addresses are things like paypal@email1.paypal.co.ukor paypal@email.paypal.co.uk

They seem to have been grooming my inbox to develop a presence, tricking me into believing they may be genuine - must work for those who don't use paypal on a regular basis. They seem to have sent 'tester' emails. Sending me information on Paypal policies, then senidng me one about my balance followed by one apologising for the error. Then they went in for the kill and asked me to verify/update my card details - how the hell did they know my debit card was about to expire?

Thank God I only opened them all for the first time today after wondering about scams.

Be careful. Never go to Paypal from your email inbox - always go of your own accord to their genuine site.
Look at the wording, look at the return address, compare it to other emails from Paypal, use the internet to look up common scams as I just did, remember real paypal will never ask you to go to a link to give details and if in doubt, go to the real site outside your email and ask paypal for assistance.
Take care people xxx

Are you sure that one wasn't legit? I got reminder emails from PP about my credit card expiring. I figured it was paypal being helpful so I didn't end up sending a bunch of echeques  And I didn't see any suspicious 'click here' links...

I've also just had an email from paypal@email.paypal.co.uk and it's definitely fake. I checked my account and have no Echeques pending.
You can tell by the email that it's fake, there's too much reference to spoof/fake emails and not to fall for them.
