Where to wait at Heathrow Airport for incoming passengers?

Options
My husband is picking my daughter up off a long haul flight tomorrow and wants to arrive early as it will be in the middle of the Friday afternoon/evening rush hour? Someone told him there is a Mcdonalds just outside the airport which can be a good place to park and have coffee if you arrive early. Does anyone know of this or similar - he will be coming from Essex

There's a McDonalds on the A4 heading out towards slough and another one on the opposite side of the road heading towards central London.

Assuming she's arriving at Terminal 1, 2 or 3, the nearest McDs is at "Mondial Way, Hayes". It's where hire cars wait for their call!

You can find it on the McDs locator.

If she's arriving at Terminal 4, he'd be better off at one of the McDs on the Staines side.
  • Please note that McDonalds have a 60 minute wait policy which is enforceable!!! Just don't stay over your limit.... as they can and have fined people.

I think the one you are thinking of is the one right next door to the Raddisson Edwardian-if he goes over the hour drive a few yards down the road and park in the bowling place (Airport Bowl)-can get a coffee and something to eat in there too
