Just to let everyone know that we are getting the full amount back from the DRD. Form submitted on 15th Jan, received acknowledgement letter around 22nd Jan and got offer letter last week!

We took photos, contacted the police on the 0845 number (although used the 028 90 alternative to save money!) and reported it on the DRD website too.

    Good luck to everyone else!
    Regards, Robin.

We damaged an alloy one night last year in a massive pothole
we went the next day and got photos etc - the roads service say they were aware of it (had painted yellow around it) so they werent liable for the damage lol
if i had been a little more flush at the time i would have taken it to small claims - surely if they are aware they should fix the damn thing not just paint round it
still ragin about it as you can probably tell

    hope you have more luck

there are a huge amount i could remember now that i think i might report, basically most of the upper malone road (i think thats what its called) from the finaghy turn off right to the roundabout at house of sport, it has so many obstacles to avoid! and many more have made me cringe when i hear the thud of my wheel hitting them.
  • I think someone posted a link to a claims form from the DOE Roads Service but I cant find it.
Could call them i suppose but printing it out from here would save a bit of time, anyone any idea how to access to it from their site?
