Heart card punch

Just wondering if any of you crafty types can help me. I am looking for a large (jumbo?) heart punch - about 5cm x 4cm. Can anyone suggest the cheapest place to find one - I've had a quick search online but have never bought one before and they all seem very expensive to me!

They are expensive unfortunately never seen a cheap one.

They have a big range in Hobbycraft though.

Thanks Good Fairy but looking at your wonderful fan club on here (!) and all the wonderful goodies you make, I think you have enough to do!! My little one is pretty poorly at the moment but when she is better, I'll drag her along with me - there is plenty for her to destroy in there!

My son can play in Hobbycraft for hours lol especially if he gets one of those baskets on wheels!

Might be worth a look in Paperchase if you have a local one- ours had large heart punches reduced from £10 to £5 last time I looked.

I bought a fiskars heart template which I use with my cutter instead of a punch- means you can have more of a choice of sizes, and there are lots of other templates too. More time consuming than a punch, but cheaper.

Tiara - how does the cutter work? Do you have to buy an expensive bit of kit to start with and then buy different shapes? I don't think we have a Paperchase nearby but I will find out - that sounds a great find.

Don't waste your money going to Hobbycraft... unless of course it's local. I think it is very overpriced!

One good online shop (I am not connected to them, just a happy customer) is Arty Miss:

The above link should take you to the punch section and just click around for the different sizes,, they do tell you what the punched shape will measure too. Their delivery is only £1.49, so really reasonable, especially if you buy one of the bigger punches as these are quite heavy.

I have ordered from these and never had a problem, and they are often spoken highly of in craft forums.

Are you going to punch a border on something or just use the shapes because you can buy heart shape confetti in card/craft shops
